Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani as well as a Peruvian Muay fighter from Thailand, as well as mixed martial artist competing in the flyweight division of the UFC. She is the younger sister of the fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sport career by becoming a Muay Thai Kickboxer. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007, a medal that was bronze in 2008 as well as a medal gold in 2011. In addition, she was named IFMA Amateur Muaythai World Champions in the year 2016. Antonia's professional career started in 2003. In 2012, she took home in the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, she took home the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 she won the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's final fight took place at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She won by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shychenko's first professional MMA debut was in 2002 in the KFK cup of Kyrgystan during which she took on Anara Bayanova. She was victorious with a TKO after the first round. She she went on to win her 2 next fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships, 2003. The result was the record of 3-0 in MMA. Shevchenko took a short break from MMA and focused on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by a unanimous vote and the next day, she defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. The promotion ended in 2018, and enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina used her superior strike abilities in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch through knees that hit the body. Following this victory Antonina was given an UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters' Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the fight through a unanimous win, however she fell in her following fight against Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina bounced back from losing and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the rear with a choking submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night for this fight. Shevchenko went 2-2 in her next 3 fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski, and lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. In the past, Antonina fell to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
